Probably one of my favourite home automation videos with Tasker is the one you can see above by Ben Terry. The video has more than 9.000 views but he could use some more in my opinion. Let’s increase that and give him a thumbs up. Ben doesn’t explain in this video how everything works in detail but he is just showing what’s possible with Tasker.
What can you expect in this video with tasker and Autovoice:
- How to launch your Xbox & Playstation
- Set degrees on Google Nest
- Put the kettle on
- Control lights
- Audio control with Sonos
Richard Browning is probably THE guy who has come the closest to developing an Iron Man suit as you have seen in the video. He is 38 years-old and lives in Wiltshire, UK.
His suit or “Daedalus” like he calls it, can be broken up into 3 big parts:
- Lightweight exoskeleton suit
- Kerosene-fuelled microgas turbines
- Ultra-light snake-bite-resistant walking boots
Do you want to create the same? The suit costs around £40,000 so better start saving now.
After testing the suit and getting a lot of press coverage by Wired, CNN, BBC,… A lot of press coverage is maybe an understatement. They reached over 60 million video views. With this success, Richard decided to take his project to the next level. He founded Gravity Industries. To quote Richard: “Gravity Industries is a British technology start-up with innovation, endeavour and inspiration at its core. Our mission is to build an inspirational technology company by re-imagining the future of human flight and pioneering aeronautical innovation.”
Do you want to join Richard’s cause? He’s still looking for world-class engineers, marketers, investors and athletes to help him out. You can apply on his website Gravity.co.
As our suit will be that powerful that we would never have to run away, we still need boots to be able to catch the villains. I know Iron Man can fly but still, we need to be able to run as well. These bionic boots could be the solution.
Now after viewing the video, I have to be honest. These boots don’t seem to be that fast. Could be, it doesn’t work or even that the guy in it, just can’t move his leg that fast enough.
Can anybody else please test this for us and let us know how it worked out in the comments below?
Although Iron Man doesn’t have a pet robot to help him in crime, maybe this robot cheetah can.
Creating robots and making them move like animals or humans is something which humankind is still struggling with. So the thing that MIT did here is really amazing! Letting a robot run and anticipate an obstacle, that is huge!
I even love in this video that they even get technical and explain more or less how the algorithm works.
From the bottom of my heart, congrats to MIT and keep it up! I will be following you up close!
The Hacksmith is one of my favourite channels to watch. How these guys create all those things, is beyond me. But it sure makes me dream about it. With 1.3 million subscribers, they are one the most tech influencers on Youtube.
In this episode, they have created the Iron Man Rocket Launcher and it looks amazing!
Be sure to subscribe to their Youtube channel for support. If you want to do more, you can even become a Patron on Patreon. Because their invention cost a lot of money!

In 2014, the world got to know Jibo for the first time! What’s a Jibo you ask? Well, it is a social robot / Virtual Assistant which can help you with a lot of different things.
Jibo can read bedtime stories, take pictures, order pizza, do phone calls,… It is probably up to now the cutest robot on the planet.
His biggest asset is for me also his biggest downfall. Ok, it is very cute so my daughters will love it but for me it just doesn’t do the trick. Also, it doesn’t seem to have that many extra options to add commands and that is for me very important!
If you have a Jibo, please let us know what you think of it with a comment.
After browsing the Web for hours, I finally decided on the program that will handle all my processes, projects & tasks. I chose Tasker.
One of the most important aspects of Jarvis is the look & feel aka the interface. It has to astonish people. It should look futuristic and it should provide info as well.
Therefore, I have spent hours of investigating themes for my Android Device. At the end, I came down to these 3:
Futura HUD X
All these themes are KLWP themes so you will need to install it and but also buy the Pro key. Unfortunately, you can’t import themes in the free version of KLWP. But don’t worry It’s not that expensive (around $4) but it’s definitely worth it! Because your interface will look astonishing!
In the end, I chose for ExtractionUI as I updated the background and I just love it!
Check it out:
I’m still always on the hunt for new themes which don’t necessarily have to be from KLWP. So if you have some incredible ones, please direct me to them via a comment.
